The answer to this is most likely because you have not made the required setting change on the iPod® itself (see below)
Video iPod® Setting Change: Output (provides you the option for “TV On or TV Off”) Follow these simple steps: Main Menu (from video iPod®)**Going forward your iPod® will prompt you “TV Off” or “TV On” before you play a doPi Karaoke song. If you are interested in simply hearing and watching the streaming lyrics on the screen of the iPod® with headphones or stereo, select “TV Off” and select play. If you are plugging your iPod® player into the doPi Karaoke™ System for the full television karaoke experience, select “TV On” and select play. 2. How do I connect my 5th Generation Video iPod® to the doPi Karaoke™ System and then to my television or Stereo for operation?

3. What is the difference between “Video” Songs and “Audio Only” Songs?

doPi Karaoke™ is committed to continually adding new Video Songs to our library. Eventually our library of over 10,000 Video Karaoke Songs will be available for download! We want you to know that we are dedicated to offering our extensive library to you, our customer. Thank you for your understanding and patience!4. I own a Video MP3 player other than an iPod®. We are compatible with some not all other video MP3 players. doPi is not compatible with ZUNE! What do I need to know to fully enjoy the doPi Karaoke™ System and downloads?
All you need to know is how to plug your Video MP3 player into the doPi Karaoke™ converter.
Everything about doPi Karaoke™, including downloading instructions, remains the same except plugging it into the doPi Karaoke™ converter for operation.

6. If I am from a country other than the United States or Canada. Why can’t I download Audio Only (MP3) Songs?
Our MP4 Video files can be downloaded from most countries but because of our current licensing rights Audio Only (MP3) downloads are only permitted from the United States or Canada. doPi Karaoke™ is committed to offering the licensing rights to all countries for Audio Only downloads and is currently working to acquire these licenses.
7. What is your warranty policy?
doPi Karaoke™ System Limited Warranty
Who is covered? This warranty only covers the original consumer purchaser, and you must have proof of purchase (i.e. original receipt with the date of purchase). What is covered? doPi Karaoke™ warrants this product to be material and workmanship defect free for a period of ninety days from the original date of sale to the original consumer purchase. This product will be replaced or repaired free of charge if it has proved to be defective when said product is returned at the consumer’s expense within the warranty period. This warranty does not cover expenses incurred in the removal and reinstallation of this product. What is excluded? This warranty does not apply to any product damaged by accident, misuse, abuse, improper line voltage, fire, water damage (including any type of liquid), lightning, or other uncontrollable forces of nature, or any parts or service furnished by anyone else other than doPi Karaoke™. This warranty does not cover damaged cartons, carrying cases, broken or damaged cabinets, or any other items used in connection with the product or consequential damages due to defect in that product. This warranty does not cover products sold AS IS or Re-Manufactured units sold out of the doPi Karaoke™ distribution channel. Before exchanging this product. Please read the owner’s manual and FAQs thoroughly. Adjustments that may need to be made to enable the player to function properly may be noted. Where is the exchange available? This product may be exchanged at doPikaraoke.com. Limitation of liability. All implied warranties are limited to the duration of the warranty. This is the complete warranty and no other expressed warranty is valid. Some states/countries/provinces do not allow limitations on how long a limited warranty lasts or exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. This warranty gives you (the owner) specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which may vary by state, country or province. doPi Karaoke™ System Product and Warranty Registration Thank you for your purchase. doPi Karaoke System:
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason you may return merchandise for a refund (excluding shipping and handling charges) within 14 days of receiving merchandise, subject to a Return Authorization from doPi Karaoke. If your product was received in error doPi Karaoke will pay for shipping to return. Otherwise shipping of merchandise will be at your expense. . Please note, a 15% open box fee will be assessed on any opened hardware. Keep your purchase, accessories and all packing materials in new condition to avoid any additional restocking fees. To obtain a RA (Return Authorization) number, call Customer Service at (800) 985.3674 OR email your RA request to, service@dopikaraoke.com. Please note that an RA # does not guarantee final disposition and all returns are subject to inspection. All exchanged/ returned merchandise must be in original factory carton, including all packaging materials, inserts and manuals, warranty cards (not filled-out) and all accessories. Please do not tape or write anything on the item or the original carton. In some cases, we may charge you for the replacement of damaged, altered, missing, written-on or taped-on contents or cartons. We reserve the right to refuse any such items. • All returns must be packed in an outer shipping carton with valid RA # written on the outside of the shipping carton. • A copy of your original invoice must be included in your return package. • Please note: our Returns Department will refuse any package that does not have a valid RA#. There are no exceptions. Please ship your parcel back to us Freight Prepaid. Sorry, we cannot accept COD or freight-collect shipments. What happens when I lose my internet connection during a song download?
You will have 15 days to access and download your purchased songs. Simply sign in and proceed to "My Account" to re-download if necessary.
If problem still persists contact service@doPikaraoke.com. 10. How do I download the songs I purchased?
Right after you purchase your songs an order confirmation screen will appear. Click on the link that reads "Click here to start your downloads!" Then click on the orange "d" button for each song (one at a time!). If you are already past the order confirmation screen, follow the below steps.
11. I have an iPod, but it’s not a 5th Generation Video iPod. Can I still use the doPi Karaoke System?
The doPi Karaoke System works with an iPod nano, mini, etc., however you will not be able to see streaming karaoke song lyrics on the iPod or TV screen, you will just hear the audio. We offer 2 types of song downloads on www.dopikaraoke.com to accommodate video and non video music players. For use with non video capable music players you will want the Audio songs. Please see below:
Video Song downloads are ONLY compatible with a Video iPod® (5G) or a Video MP3 player. These song downloads include synchronized streaming video lyrics that can be viewed on the screen of your video MP3 player or the screen of your Television. Cost of the Video Songs are $1.99 per download. Audio Song downloads contain the audio only and are compatible with ANY type of MP3 player! These song downloads do not include the synchronized streaming video lyrics. Cost of Non-Video Songs are $0.99 per download. The doPi Karaoke System also works with the iPod Touch and Nano Video, however the supplied AV / iPod cable needs to be replaced with Apple's proprietary Component AV Cable, as the video feed for the iPod Touch and Video Nano is through the 30 pin connection instead of the headphone jack. 12. How do I access my 3 free songs?
